Temp: 64 degrees F
weather: minimal cloud cover
Soil: dry and frozen
My Observation:
The area I choose is 40 yards off my back porch because it is a natural stream (Flat Creek) that eventually leads to the Snake River. Fauna in the vicinity are Ducks, Robins, and an array of seed birds. There was also moose scat near the willows. Flora at the site is a multitude of willows, pines, aspens, and lilac trees. Human factors that disturb the flow of the river are rocks placed in the creek to create a natural pool off the bank. In the natural pool baby stone flies live under the water. Common organisms in the creek are snails and algae that live on the rocks under the water's surface. There is low bidiversity in the area because of the closeness of human population. In this enviroment organisms are in competion with humans, other speacies, and their on kind to gather food and survive.
